"It will work out easier than it sounds," Sabrina assures her. "Because we're already all honest and open with each other. And we'll still do things like go out dancing together or--" She can't help a sudden bubbling laugh. "Oh, I think the rumors will get worse at school, but I don't care."

She falls quiet to think over the next bit.

"We're still best friends," she repeats, just a little stubbornly. "You can talk to me about Nick. I mean, I'm not going to want to stop hearing about your love life. It's just that I'll have a very good idea of what you mean. And oh, I know how good he is, and it's not like I feel jealous when I think about you two together, I feel--" She cuts herself off there, and gives a little shake of her thread.
